C&W Services: Leasing
New Location Supports Mission and Potential Growth
Cushman & Wakefield is the preferred real estate provider for Sutter Health’s headquarters in Sacramento. Sutter’s goals included consolidating all shared services in a single location in Northern California that not only met all real estate requirements, but offered a community with a competitive cost of living and economic incentives for the 1,500 to 3,000 anticipated jobs created by the consolidation and relocation.
Sutter felt strongly about relocating to one building with a functional layout. A flexible lease structure allowing for growth and contraction aligned with its business model was ideal and an amenity-rich and secure environment was important for employees.
Finally, Sutter desired a building that would accurately reflect its mission, image and business. Most importantly, the space must allow for a potential Phase II expansion of an additional 300,000 square feet. After successful incentives negotiations, a flexible long-term lease and adjacent land for a potential 300,000 square foot expansion, Sutter chose Roseville, CA, as its new home. The location provided a functional space solution, as well as the economic, image and working environment unmatched in the region.
